This project showcases three interactive stations aimed at elevating customer engagement. Built on a provided backend framework, the challenge was to develop a fully functional outdoor apparel brand while rebranding the stations with personalized designs, GSAP-driven animations, and motion graphics. The project was further enhanced with promotional videos and product photography, creating a cohesive and immersive retail experience.

About the Project

The main goal of this project is to design visually engaging content and animations for the interactive stations, aiming to elevate the overall user experience. All visuals are crafted to align with the fictional brand identity, ensuring a consistent look and feel across every station. A looping screensaver video plays an essential role in drawing customer attention while offering simple instructions on how to navigate the stations. The project brings together various technologies to create a seamless and memorable customer journey. It allows users to explore the Interactive Catalogue in a more dynamic and engaging format, highlighting featured products for easy discovery. The 360° Touchless Rotating Product App offers an interactive way to view products from every angle, complete with key product highlights. The Dual-Screen Catalogue Ordering Station features a fashion-inspired screensaver and apparel selection tool, along with a receipt-printing feature that simplifies the purchasing process. Finally, a promotional video further strengthens the brand’s presence both within the store environment and beyond.

My Role :

Designed cohesive UI screens for all three stations, created motion graphics reflecting Aurora Outdoors' brand story, and developed nature-inspired visuals with clean layouts and animations to enhance the interactive in-store experience.

The Process

360° Touchless Rotating Product App

This interactive station invites customers to discover Alpine Outdoors’ featured product from every angle — without ever touching the screen. The experience was built using a series of 15 product shots, captured from multiple perspectives to create a smooth, 360° viewing journey. While idle, the station plays a looping screensaver that highlights product details alongside a navigation bar at the bottom of the display. To explore, users simply move their hand over the Leap Sensor — gliding through different product angles with natural hand motion, making for a seamless and contact-free browsing experience.

Dual-Screen Catalogue Ordering Station

This dual touchscreen station offers an interactive and seamless shopping experience for Alpine Outdoors’ unisex collection. The right screen acts as a product catalogue, while the left displays detailed views and customization options. A product photoshoot captured individual items, allowing customers to mix and match headgear, tops, bottoms, and footwear to create personalized looks. An on-screen motion graphic guides users through the process — from selecting size and color to adding items to the cart. At checkout, animated prompts assist users, and a receipt is printed for payment at the cashier — making the ordering process simple and engaging.

Deliverables

We filmed the entire experience and created a short video, blending live-action footage with screen captures from the stations. This video effectively condenses the entire project, offering a visual snapshot of the interactive features and user flow.
